Allison McDermott is an alumni of the Children's Circus of Middletown where she was an avid stilt walker. She later studied aerial hoop and hand balancing in the New England Center for Circus Arts' ProTrack program. Some of her notable performance credits include Detective Lestrade in Cirqularity’s touring show Sherlock Holmes and the Sapphire Night, a faerialist in ARTFARM’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and the Owl in CYCLES. Allison played Emilie du Chatelet in ARTFARM’s Sir Isaac Newton’s Little Apple Circus and Petra in their touring show Circus for a Fragile Planet. Most recently she performed as the sea turtle Caretta Caretta in Big Teeth Performance Collective's circus-theater production Goodbye Party: The Show. You can spot Allison performing at festivals, schools, theaters and corporate events.
